    Automatic Payments

I read something on the features page that made me believe it would be possible to set clients up on an automatic billing cycle, (IE on the 5th of every month the system would automatically run the primary credit card) but I cannot find a way to do this on the demo site.  Is this script capable of doing that?

    Re: Automatic Payments

You create a new invoice within the invoice section. On the invoice edit
screen, there is a portion of the invoice that signals whether or not it is
a recurring invoice. Look at the bottom left of the invoice. From there, you
specify that it is a monthly invoice and the next due date. That will take
    care of it.

    Re: Automatic Payments

    Hello,

When i setup a test invoice in the system and made it recurring it de-activated the next recurring bill in the dni_recurring table.

is it meant to do that? or i have done something wrong.

I set a test invoice and made it cycle after 30 days. then i pay that test invoice. and after that i looked into the table of dni_recurring and found that its status was inactive.

Is it meant to work like that? or have i did something wrong ?

    Thanks

    Jeff,

Thanks for pointing this out. This is a known issue, and will be fixed in the latest release (v2.1), which will be out in the next week.

    Re: Automatic Payments

    Hi,

I see where you specify the "Recurring Invoice" in the admin.  I also see how when you are logged in as a customer, you can pay the invoices.  But it's not clear to me how a customer can specify that he want's to enroll or un-enroll in automatic payments.  Can I assume that if the customer has entered any CC info at all, that this info will be used to immediately pay any new invoices when they are created for this customer?  I guess what I'm asking is: How do "auto-payments" work?

    Thanks much,

    Sean

    Re: Automatic Payments

Sean, You're correct in your assumption; recurring credit card charges happen when a client has a valid credit card on file and you set up recurring invoicing for them. When an invoice is generated DotNetInvoice checks for a valid credit card and automatically charges it. There is one caveat, since we don't store CVV code, recurring charges only work with Authorize.NET since PayPal requires CVV code for every credit card charge.

Let us know if you need anything else,
