Confirmation emails

    Confirmation emails

    I have one client that says she keeps getting a "Payment Received" email.

    She paid her bill a couple of months ago.

    How do I determine that it is sending her emails and what's the fix?

    Maly,

    This sounds like a known issue. We have a hotfix for it at: http://forums.dotnetinvoice.com/forums/thread/206.aspx. Follow the instructions in that post and this problem should resolve.

    [Edit] - I had the wrong hotfix URL.

    It will only affect one client?  No others have complained.

    It should affect everyone, but due to the nature of the issue it's somewhat random as to who receives emails when. We've had a couple of support emails along these lines, and this has been the solution.

    Hi Rob,

    This didn't take care of the issue. The client sent me an email saying she got another one.

     Is there a way to manually remove it from quque?

    There isn't a queue; emails are sent directly from code as invoices are paid.

    I am escalating this to have a developer look into it.

    The file I pointed to (http://forums.dotnetinvoice.com/forums/thread/206.aspx) has a fix for the issue you are experiencing; a few other customers had this issue and the new code included in that file took care of it. Please try it again and verify that the file is uploading and overwriting properly, as my gut feeling tells me this will fix it.

    Maly,

    After escalating this issue we haven't been able to duplicate it. My developer checked all the calls made to send this email template in the code, and the only place where this error was found was in the previous version of the file that's updated in the hotfix I linked to above.

    Please download the hotfix and apply it again. If you continue to have problems please email me at support@dotnetinvoice.com and we can escalate this further.
