Reports error?

    Reports error?

    I am comparing two reports and I am getting two different numbers when I do the following:

     

    Detailed Report:

    Client not selected
    Date range: 1-1-08  to 4-30-08
    Status: completed

     
    Payment Report:

    2008 - All payment types

     

    I did the same for individual months and they do not match either. 

     Shouldn't these numbers be the same?

    Do you mean the "paid" numbers?

    The "paid" total in the detailed report will only show the total amount paid against completed invoices, but not payments made against deleted, pending, or unfinished invoices.

    The "paid" total on the payment report will show any payment made into the system for any invoice status.

    So those numbers will not necessarily be the same.
