New Recurring Task Mechanism
A small portion of our customers have experienced an issue with the
reliability of recurring tasks. For those who have experienced this
issue, we have added two new mechanisms for ensuring recurring tasks
run on time (these are described in more detail in the upgrade section
of the new installation and configuration guide).
If you have a dedicated server, use the ScheduledTaskSetup.msi
included with the new installation package. This installs a console
application and a Windows Scheduler on your server.
If you are on shared hosting send us an email at support@dotnetinvoice.com
with the subject "Set up Recurring Tasks." In the email, include the
publicly-accessible URL to your DotNetInvoice installation. Our team
has a server task that runs 24/7/365 and will regularly "ping" a page
in your DotNetInvoice installation to ensure scheduled tasks run on
time.
We look forward to hearing from you,
---
